Mariposa County ranked 29th in California for resident earnings in 2019

Mariposa County ranked 29th among counties in California by annual earnings per resident, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The median income of Mariposa County residents was $27,678 per year, adjusted for inflation. It had 7,643 households with a population of 17,420.

The county with the highest median resident income in the state was San Mateo County with $49,128 per year after adjusting for inflation – $21,450 more than Mariposa County. It had 263,543 households with a population of 767,423.

The county with the lowest median resident income in the state was Tehama County with $23,061 per year after adjusting for inflation – $4,617 less than Mariposa County. It had 24,189 households with a population of 63,912.
