MOUNTAIN OAKS SCHOOL: Santa’s Helper

Santa

Mountain Oaks Schools issued the following announcement.

As the holidays are approaching, Mountain Oaks is anticipating the season of giving and of need. We are once again offering our Santa’s Helper program to the families at all three

of our sites. Families in need of Christmas presents for their children (or mentor teachers who are aware of families in need) should contact either the site secretaries (Dana, Judi

or Mike) or administrator (Bill) by Friday, November 13 th at the latest to apply. Each family in need will be asked to complete a short questionnaire regarding their child or children.

Questions like age, gender, sizes, interests, needs and wants will help those families who decide to become Santa’s Helpers by purchasing gifts. The names of those students in

need and their families are kept confidential through the use of a numerical tracking system. Once all the questionnaires have been returned, a Christmas tree will be erected in the

front office of the San Andreas site with numbered ornaments on it. Each ornament will represent a child in need. Families who want to be Santa’s Helpers will select a numbered

ornament from the tree, shop for the student whose number is on the ornament and bring the gifts to the San Andreas site secretary by Wednesday, December 9 th. Gifts may be

picked up by the families in need the week before winter break, Monday, December 14th through Thursday, December 17 th. Any gifts not picked up by Thursday, December 17th

at 4:30 p.m. will not go to waste…they will be donated to The Resource Connection’s Santa’s Express.
